Shiva Power Cable
Shiva is a new power cord from Nordost which redefines performance and value for money, delivering improved detail, dynamics, transparency and musical clarity by dramatically reducing the noise floor. It achieves this through the use of our proven and proprietary micro mono-filament technology. The cable consists of three silver-plated OFC, solid-core conductors, each individually suspended in a virtual air dielectric by the micro mono-filament design. By using solid core, silver plated oxygen free copper conductors, strand interaction, hot spots and carbonization, which can occur in stranded cables, are eliminated thus ensuring optimum performance.
The real difference the Shiva brought to the system was in the directness of its communication, its ability to hold your attention, draw you into a song, turn your emotions with a musical phrase. In short, it transformed the ability of the equipment to perform its most basic function. It brought life, energy and pace to proceedings and made sense of the term musical performance.
