Nordost Quasar Points are a further development of the design principles established by the popular Pulsar Points. They offer even greater improvements in the performance of audio and video components by further reducing resonance and vibration. Each Quasar Point consists of an upward facing base cone with a smooth recess at its tip. This supports a ball bearing, which provides isolation between the top and bottom halves of the Quasar Point. The top piece sits over the base and uses a similar contoured recess to mate with the ball. This design provides superb isolation through the minimal contact made between the ball bearing and the two cones. |
