Odin rules at CES 2010
The show reports are in, the files filled and the blogs logged, and for once there’s a consensus emerging. Two systems stood hand and shoulders above the others on show when it came to sound quality. Whether you rely on the established print-media or web-zines, everybody seems to agree, speaker manufacturers Scaena and Nola delivered the sonic goods, relying on electronics from dCS/McIntosh and Audio Research respectively.
But what did these two systems have in common? Both were wired with a full set of Odin signal, speaker and AC leads, as well as Quantum distribution and power purification products. How often have you seen Stereophile and TAS agree? How often have you seen them both agree with the likes of Soundstage, Dagogo and The Audiobeat? But for once, whether you follow JV or who won the “Jimmies”, the conclusion is clear: good cables matter; using them properly matters; some cables matter more than others: Odin matters most of all. Because, when the music really matters, only the best will do!
